It had been a few years since our last trip to the Sunshine Coast and our first time staying in Mooloolaba. We were excited to check-in to the Vacayco to experience it firsthand. The first thing the boys saw as we opened the gate was the pool, big tick there with kids!
The first property as you enter in the Palm House. There is an open plan kitchen/living/dining, 3 guest rooms, main bathroom and laundry. Every room is styled for that holiday feeling ...and a big plus in my eyes is the linen bedding. As you walk further down the path, we came across the most gorgeous rustic pink gate which opened up into the Pool House. This house really has the wow factor. With its dramatic dark exteriors to the new york loft style, it is a space you don't want to leave. In the kitchen, there is a fantastic SMEG oven ... we decided to make homemade pizzas one night just so we can use it. Downstairs consists of the kitchen, dining, living and an outdoor dining area plus another courtyard with the firepit. Upstairs (love the tiles on the stairs) is an open bedroom complete with an ensuite. We slept in the Palm House but definitely hung out in the Pool House. You have the option of renting both properties together, or you can rent them separately with both properties having access to the pool.
Everything was within a 10-15 minute walk, or we often jumped on the complimentary bikes. Make sure you head to The Velo Project for breakfast on the bikes and walk up to Mooloolaba for a jump in the ocean, the water was like a bath which is just how I like it! When we did jump in the car, there was so much to discover and enjoy ... we hired stand up paddle boards on the Maroochydore River, day trips into Noosa, long lunches at the Mooloolaba Marina and we had such a fun day on the inflatable park at Bli Bli.
Memories were made relaxing around the pool, a new friend in the owner Hannah and the Sunshine Coast has definitely won our hearts x
